In my class – in all fifth-grade classes – we were required to read ‘classics,’ books like ‘Shiloh,’ which is about a white boy and the dog he rescues. And ‘Old Yeller,’ which is about a white boy and the dog that rescues him. And ‘Where the Red Fern Grows,’ which is about a white boy and the two dogs he trains. – Marley Dias

  • Living My Best: Thanks and blessings to this wonderful foster for saving her from a terrible fate.🙏💙💛
  • Betsy Garcia: Thank you for giving this beautiful girl a chance at a life she deserves.
  • Cambridge RatMom: My dog was like that too. She had been abandoned in a parking lot and her whole world, for better or for worse, was upside down. She wasn’t vicious or aggressive. She was scared and confused and tired of people running towards her trying to catch her. I sat with her quietly for over and hour and she ultimately let me drop a leash over her. The ACO took her to a wonderful rescue group and as soon as I could adopt her I did. She is a wonderful, sweet, opinionated corso mix and I love her to the moon and back!! She just needed a quiet environment, a regular schedule and some gentle boundaries.
  • Miss Night Terrors: SO incredibly patient! So kind! This might sound bonkers, but on top of being in a shelter and before that never allowed in a home, she’d had babies and I can’t help but wonder if it was all too much for her. Thanks to you, Mulan is going to have a happy life! 🙂
